12minutse

I have twelve minutes to encapsulate in this small blog using a bunch of symbols the essence of what the heck is going on here in ST. Maarten in relation to my Bahai service. There are 3 study circles. One with our neighbors(a 12 and 15 year old) another at thsi Persian ladies house named Susan with a person interesetd in the Bahai faith and her young daughter. Fortunately God has been merciful and we actually are able to make progress. The other I have never been to but I heard its good. There are some interesting and kind Bahais on the Island who we meet up with from time to time. Ive read Leifs blog and in terms of Bahai service His seems more organized but..weve been blessed with seekers.Unfortunately we dont always speak the same language. There are about 4 or 5 different languages spoken on the island(actually its more but whos counting?) Most people speak English unless there French. And those who speak English dont always speak the same type.

Thanks for the updates LD.
How is the weather?
Did you meet some new friends
at your new Island location?
How did you celebrate Bahaullah's
Birthday?
Are you learning some new languages?
Were you attacked by any large, black Jungle Gorillas during the night hours???

Hello LD- Finally we got The 36 Chambers of Shaolin. I know you are probably on the 37th considering that you might be going through some tests and probably island fever?!. We had a wonderful Birth of Bahaullah with more seekers that we had imagined. One person declared in Willingboro- a very receptive soul. Some language barrier? Learn the language of the islands. Need consultation with other Bahais?Initiate a plannning meeting with Bahais by inviting them. You might want to start a free lesson in martial arts in order to attract parents of kids. Look around and don't forget ...pray for assistance. A group of Bahais fr. Phila. will go to Haifa this week and I gave to them your name to pray in the Shrine. Please blog more often so the friends can get more info about your activities. The more detaile, the better. You may write ahead of time so that it will be quicker to enter your journal. We are praying for you LD. Love,Mom

You have entered one Chamber out of many of Life's Test Chambers....
be humble... have an OPEN Heart & Mind, and look to the Infinite ONE for guidance!

*NOTE: We again viewed the 1978 Kung Fu Classic "The 36 Chambers of Shaolin"... engaging, funny, and interesting.
